Jeff Enquist joined Fabian VanCott in 2022 and has been practicing law since 2013, when he graduated with honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. After graduation, Jeff clerked for Associate Chief Justice Ronald E. Nehring at the Utah Supreme Court. Jeff’s practice areas include complex commercial disputes, business dissolution disputes, civil litigation, real estate disputes, education, government defense, insurance defense, defending health care and real estate professionals, and vaccine injury compensation.
Jeff is one of two Utah attorneys admitted to the Vaccine Injury Petitioner’s Bar in the Court of Federal Claims to handle vaccine injury compensation claims. During his career, Jeff has represented a variety of clients ranging from some of the nation’s largest financial institutions and communications companies to individuals in smaller disputes. Jeff has represented clients in both federal and state courts in Utah, Washington DC, and Nevada (through pro hac vice admission). Jeff also served on the executive committee of the Health Law Section of the Utah State Bar from 2016 to 2021, and chaired the committee from 2019 to 2021. Jeff has also been a part of the group that grades the Utah Bar exam for the past three years.
During law school, Jeff was a semi-finalist in the Traynor Moot Court competition, a William H. Leary Scholar, a teaching assistant for the legal writing program, and both the Executive Managing Editor and Symposium Editor of the Journal of Law and Family Studies. Jeff also helped create a pro bono legal clinic and was a graduate research fellow in the Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences. Prior to law school, Jeff worked in hospital administration at the University of Utah, Health Science Center.
Outside his legal work, Jeff officiates AAU, high school, and Jr. Jazz baseketball; enjoys spending time with his family and friends; and playing basketball, golf, racquetball, pickleball, and board games.
