Colby Harmon

Colby Harmon, a Utah native, joined Fabian VanCott in 2023. He has been practicing law since 2008.

Since completing law school in Boston, Massachusetts, Colby has worked as a Presidential appointee at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C., been recruited to work on a presidential campaign, and represented clients and government agencies in myriad litigation and other administrative matters.

He has expertise in employment and labor matters, employee discipline and performance improvement, ADA/FMLA compliance, grievances, sexual harassment investigations, discrimination claims, unfair labor practice resolution, divorce and modifications, enforcements, child custody disputes, guardianships, adoptions, alternative dispute resolution, insurance claim denials, and real estate, property, and HOA matters. He is also a certified mediator.

Colby’s primary goal is to help his clients get through what are perhaps the most difficult and stressful times in their lives as painlessly as possible through effective representation, proactive communication, and creative solutions.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kiddos and cheering on the Boston Red Sox and the University of Utah.
