Douglas B. Cannon has over 30 years of experience in complex litigation with an emphasis on product liability, intellectual property and antitrust law.

He handles cases involving wrongful death and other catastrophic injuries resulting from defective products such as watercraft, all-terrain vehicles, cars, snowmobiles, trucks, recreational products, medical devices, heavy equipment and household products. Doug also has experience working on intellectual property issues involving patents, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks and is experienced the areas of antitrust and unfair competition.

When managing complex litigation cases, Doug is able to draw on the expertise of Fabian VanCott attorneys skilled in the firm’s core competency areas. He has tried cases before juries in both state and federal courts.

Doug graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah, where he earned a bachelor of arts in business and economics. He graduated with honors from Duke University Law School, where he was style editor for the journal Law and Contemporary Problems. Doug is admitted to practice in state and federal courts for Utah and Idaho, as well as the Tenth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
