Biography
pdf versionHilary Adkins is a litigation associate at Fabian VanCott, where she represents clients in a broad range of civil and commercial disputes. Her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, real estate and construction disputes, and trust and estate litigation.
Before joining Fabian VanCott, Hilary practiced at a leading regional law firm, where she gained significant experience in complex business litigation, contract disputes, healthcare litigation, and administrative proceedings. She is admitted to practice in Utah and Montana.
As a former NCAA Division I water polo player, Hilary thrives in high-pressure situations—bringing the same discipline, resilience, and strategic mindset to litigation as she did in competition. She understands how to analyze challenges in real-time, think several moves ahead, and advocate aggressively for her clients.
Hilary earned her J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, graduating with High Honors. During law school, she served as President of the Student Bar Association, Executive Footnote Editor of the Utah Law Review, and was a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Outside of work, Hilary enjoys golfing, crafting, fly fishing, traveling, and spending time with her bernedoodle, Hank. She also stays connected to her athletic roots as a coach for the University of Utah Club Women’s Water Polo Team.
