Back to Professionals Mark F. Dahle Jr. Attorney / Partner Salt Lake City Licensure: FL, UT Biography pdf version Mark F. Dahle, Jr. works closely with his clients to maximize their estate planning and wealth management objectives. Sometimes he jokingly tells people that he works in the death industry. More seriously, he thinks of himself as being in the “peace of mind” industry. He provides families with the tools and documents that will ensure that his clients’ assets will go to the people they want. In addition, he advises clients how to minimize taxes and other expenses and how to protect their assets now and as they are transferred to the next generation. Mark believes strongly in building legacies. A legacy might support a client’s charitable goals, it might support future generations of a client’s family, and it quite often supports both. He loves seeing how happy his clients are when an estate plan has been put in place, knowing that their wishes will be carried out even after they are incapacitated or have passed away. He believes that everyone should have a plan, and he enjoys being part of the planning process. In 2016 Mark moved to Utah and joined Sloan & Sloan, a boutique estate planning firm that merged with Fabian VanCott in 2019. Before joining Sloan & Sloan, Mark practiced law in southwest Florida for over 10 years. His entire career has focused on the preservation of wealth for families, including advanced estate tax planning trusts, creation of business entities, asset protection planning, and all aspects of estate and income tax planning. Mark lives in Woods Cross with his wife and three sons. When he is not at the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and eating (especially southern food), reading and writing (generally very bad) poetry.
