Serena Baig Cooper

Ms. Baig is Of Counsel with Fabian VanCott with a practice focused on estate planning and asset protection. She is also experienced in trust and probate litigation as well as tax issues with the IRS. She assists clients in developing an integrated estate plan that includes addressing issues such as retirement planning, business succession, separate property and charitable giving. Serena’s experience in the area of tax law includes being an Appeals Officer for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, where she conducted hearings and resolved disputes involving both state and federal tax issues. While working as an appeals officer, Serena also obtained her Master of Laws in taxation with an emphasis on estate planning from the Boston University School of Law. In complex cases, she is able to team with Fabian Van Cott attorneys with expertise in the firm’s core competency areas. Serena received her law degree from Duke University and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is fluent in Spanish and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Nevada, California and admitted to the bar in Massachusetts.
