Shelby S. Noffsinger

Shelby Noffsinger is the Chief People Officer at Fabian VanCott. Shelby has over 17 years of experience in the legal field working in various capacities which helps her understand the people and culture of a law firm.  Her focus as CPO is on employee relationships, performance management, and organizational development. Shelby joined Fabian VanCott in 2011 as a legal assistant when she relocated to Salt Lake City and has since been instrumental in enhancing the firm’s culture, productivity, and employee retention.

Shelby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Colorado State University (2006). She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, including being a member of the local Utah chapter. She regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep on top of the latest trends and best practices in the human resources field.  Shelby is also a member of the firm’s technology committee, providing onboarding and continuing education to staff and attorneys while implementing and evaluating new systems and programs in the market to help simplify the practice. 

Shelby is passionate about creating a positive and supportive work environment for the firm’s staff and attorneys. She oversees all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, diversity, and compliance. She also serves as a liaison between the management and the employees, providing guidance, feedback, and conflict resolution.
