Before joining Fabian VanCott, Stephen practiced at a civil litigation firm in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients in complex civil litigation, government investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters. His practice encompassed products liability, professional liability, business torts, employment, real estate, and other high-exposure commercial disputes. He also represented clients in investigations and enforcement proceedings involving the U.S. Department of Justice, congressional committees, and state regulatory boards. Stephen has helped clients secure favorable resolutions in multimillion-dollar disputes, obtained early dismissals through strategic motion practice, and contributed to significant appellate victories. Stephen earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Production Editor of the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal.
